Who we are

Different journeys.
Common ground.

We bring people together through the simple act of taking part.

Athens and the communities around it

Local groups.
Lasting connections.

Street FC uses football and other forms of sport to help people find connection, purpose and a place in a group.

Our work centres on refugees and people experiencing homelessness in and around Athens. Players arrive with different languages, experiences and resources. A shared activity offers a way to meet one another without having to tell your whole story first.

Tyler Luebbert works alongside participants through football and strength-based activities. The two stories on this site offer a glimpse of that work: a pair of socks that changes the starting point, and a young person who discovers a way to help others.

People of every background and belief are welcome. Our focus is participation, dignity and human connection.

A wider community

Based in Greece.
Looking beyond borders.

Street FC shares a belief with football-for-inclusion initiatives across Europe and beyond: a game can create an opening for people who are too often left out.

The Homeless World Cup brings that idea onto an international stage. We feature its 2025 tournament here as a window into the wider community around the game. Street FC is an independent initiative, not an official Homeless World Cup affiliate.
